Hey Cinema 4D users — here’s a set of 3 scripts I made that could possibly save your butt someday.
These scripts automatically save your scene file to your render output location every time you hit render. This might seem like an unnecessary step at first, but having the exact scene file that generated your renders sitting right next to the output files is incredibly useful.
How many times have you gone back to a render just to make a small tweak — only to realize you’re no longer sure what state the scene was in at that time? You can never have enough backups, and this acts as a built-in failsafe.
I originally made these at the request of a co-worker, but didn’t fully realize how useful they were until I started using them myself. Just do it — you’ll thank me later 🙂
